What is Forest Summoner?
Being stuck inside really challenged my priorities in life.
Living in an urban sprawl I missed the smell of fresh soil, and the joy of tending plants. I started doing research, and found a parcel of land for sale in the westernmost edge of the Mojave Desert. Only ninety minutes from Los Angeles. I knew what I had to do.
If you planted 100,000 trees: 80,000 will die, 10,000 will be eaten by animals, leaving 10,000 trees to survive.
My girlfriend, and I purchased that land to take care of it. In our spare time we grow native wildflowers, and endangered trees on our balcony in LA. When they are old enough we transplant them to the Mojave. We currently have two 7ft desert willow saplings, and a 5ft palo-verde tree surviving on this previously abandoned landscape. Our balcony is filled with joshua tree (yucca brevifolia, azote de desierto) seedlings, and other california native plants.

I've been writing and playing metal since I was 15. I don't see this as a career. Money is worthless, this is an opportunity to give back to the Earth.
